Also, the pattern that you choose to eat your meals each day is more powerful than any prescription weight loss pills. A word to the wise; we should all cleanse our bodies(colon, kidney, liver,blood) once a year. Cleansing also helps with fatigue, feeling tired and weight gain.

hey I agree. I have done colonics, 3 fasts and 3 cleanses in the last 2 years and I feel much better now. I eat 5 - 6 times a day and things are much better.

The things that seem to work best is changing your lifestyle which I had to do to get better. Thanks for your info Mr. Primetyme

Myth 1: Potatoes and bread are fattening.
Actually: It's just the opposite. Starchy vegetables and bread (whole-grain bread, that is) are quality carbs needed to fuel every part of you, from your brain to your muscles. Where you can get into trouble is how you eat them: Smear butter on a slice of whole wheat bread or deep-fry potatoes and you can double, triple, or quadruple their calories!

12 Quick Tips for Eating the Mediterranean Way

Help your heart and overall health with these simple steps.

Food is far more than sustenance. The dishes we eat are often imbued with family traditions, cultural history and even personal memories—and that’s as it should be. But as studies around the world have shown, eating patterns as different from ours as those in Sweden and India can be tweaked to take advantage of the health benefits associated with traditional Mediterranean diets. 1. Replace butter with olive or canola oil whenever possible.

2. Snack on nuts, seeds or fruit instead of processed foods.

3. Include a generous leafy green salad with most dinners.

5. Fix at least a couple of vegetarian meals every week.

6. Add a dish or two that contains legumes (beans and lentils) to your weekly menu.

10. If you drink, have no more than a glass or two with a meal.

Workout Tips from my fabulous sister Denise;

Daily Routine
Every morning and evening do 15 push ups and 25 crunches.
For the more advanced do 25 or 50 pushups and the pilates 100.

To get you started warm up for 5 minutes with a cardio activity, cool down for 5 minutes after each activity and stretch for 10 minutes after each activity

Workout for 5 days this week, choose a different workout for each day:
Week Theme: It's all up to you
• Walk or Run for 20 minutes
• 60 minute weight workout or yoga or kickboxing
• Any cardio activity 30 minutes (walk, run, cardio weights {weights with only 30 seconds between sets}, pilates, yoga, etc.)
• Jog for as many minutes as you can with the goal being 3 miles- that's 12 laps around the outdoor track then walk a lap. You can go as slow or fast as you want as long as you jog without stopping or walking. Or you can map out a route in a park or trail.
• Core workout - 45 minutes - you can rent a video, go to on-demand from any cable company or go to youtube.com.
